    Unit price per

Grow your own saffron with this beautiful crocus. They produce large sterile, rich lilac flowers with distinctive purple veins in autumn.

  • They are named after the Latin term for 'Golden Leaves'. Their three long deep-red stigmas are cultivated commercially for colouring and flavouring food.
  • To provide the conditions in which it needs to thrive, plant the bulbs in gritty, well-drained soil and keep the area weed free
  • Plant 10cm deep, 15cm apart in fertile free draining soil
  • Flowering Height: 15cm

Depending on the time of the year, bulbs may be sent dormant, with foliage or in bloom. This will not hinder their onward growth.
